Treatment Plan
Homoeopathic treatment works best when medicines are taken correctly and regularly. Following these simple guidelines helps the medicine act gently and effectively on the body’s natural healing system.
HOW TO TAKE HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICINES
Form of Medicines
Homoeopathic medicines are usually prescribed in the form of:
- Pills (globules)
- Powders
- Liquid drops (in some conditions requiring frequent doses)
These medicines are prepared on milk sugar or cane sugar and are medicated with remedies in an alcohol base.
Method of Intake
- Place the pills or powder directly on the tongue
- Allow them to dissolve slowly in the mouth
- Do not chew or swallow with water
- Liquid medicines should be taken as advised by the doctor, usually diluted in water
Medicines are absorbed through the lining of the mouth, making water unnecessary.
Timing of Medicine
- Take medicines on an empty mouth
- Maintain a gap of 15–30 minutes before and after meals, tea, coffee, or brushing
- Follow the exact dose and frequency prescribed by your doctor
Duration of Treatment
- Acute conditions may improve quickly
- Chronic conditions may require regular and prolonged treatment
- Do not stop medicines abruptly without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better

- Do not keep or open your medicines near strong odors such as cigarette smoke, room fresheners, incense, or chemicals.
- Avoid brushing your teeth 5–10 minutes before and after taking the homoeopathic medicine.
- Always keep medicines out of reach of children.
